Insurance

•If you are traveling from overseas we would recommend travel insurance for your time in Singapore.

•You are advised to check the terms of your travel insurance to see if day bike tours are covered.

•This activity does not involve any dangerous mountain biking and is certainly not in the same league as dangerous activities normally excluded under travel insurance such as bungee-jumping, hang-gliding etc. However each insurance company can take a different view on this and as such we recommend you to check your policy terms and conditions.

Weather / Cancellation

Singapore’s climate is tropical. This means a lot of sun and rain.

  • The activities will continue even if it is raining. However it is not particularly pleasant if you are outside cycling when there is a heavy downpour.

  • As such we will look to reach shelter when there is a heavy downpour.

  • On those rare days when the downpour continues for a long period then we may need to modify the route based on the consensus of the group. We apologise if this happens but the weather is outside our control…

  • If it is heavy rain at the start of the activity then we will take shelter. If the heavy rains persists such that we have to cancel the activity or if the heavy rain is intermittent and we cannot even reach the first stop of Lorong Halus then we will provide a free activity of the same type to be used within 30 days of the activity date.

  • Activities must be paid for in advance. You may cancel an activity which is booked and paid for. If the cancellation is at least 24 hours before the start time of the activity then full refund will be given. If the cancellation is within 24 hours of the start time of the activity then no refund will be given.

  • Only 1 pax is needed to run an activity so you don't need to worry about needing other people to book to reach a minimum requirement.

COVID-19 Precautions

  • Under Singapore's Phase 2 requirements, The Cycle Startup has sought approval via Singapore Tourism Board (STB) to run these activities. All 3 routes have been approved by STB / MTI.

  • Bikes and equipment will be disinfected before use. Hand sanitiser will be available for use at anytime.

  • Temperature will be taken before the activity starts - for activity leader and all participants. Activity Leader has the right to reject participants from joining the activity should they be assumed to be unwell.

  • Participants are advised to wear face masks while cycling and required to wear face masks when not cycling.

  • Participants are advised to maintain a 1m distance from other participants where possible

  • Participants must log into SafeEntry before the start of the activity and log out of SafeEntry after the activity.
